Joining Netflix In 2011
Earlier this month, I finally decided to join in on what everyone else was already part of here in oh-eleven, or 2-K-11, or two thousand eleven… or my preferred pronunciation of twenty eleven (it does make the most sense… because, think about it… we were saying nineteen-ninety-one 20 years ago, not one-thousand-nine-hundred-ninety-one, and in one hundred years our grandkids don’t want to have to say two-thousand-one-hundred-eleven). But anyway, I was all about finally joining this whole Netflix thing, instead of continuing to spend what was actually more money a month on dollar-a-day Red Box rentals.
And of course, the day I made the decision was the same day we received the news that Netflix is going to start charging separately for disc and streaming plans.
I wanted both… I also wanted to spend $10 a month. But, the thing is… I still want both. And, I will spend $16 a month ($8 each per plan) to get what I want.
